What Will Be Examined in the Premium Laboratory Package?
We use laboratory diagnostics to examine your blood, urine, and stool. We look at many different values which provide information on the function of your organs. The results are important to detect any risks of illnesses that are not (yet) visible in an MRI scan.
Premium Laboratory Package
An MRI scan shows changes in the tissue and the structure of your inner organs, but statements about the functioning are not possible. Some diseases – diabetes for instance – affect blood parameters long before vessels or organs suffer. Some cancerous diseases can be diagnosed by tumour markers in the blood. A blood analysis can detect risks like high cholesterol levels that can lead to diseases in the long term if left untreated.
With the analysis of your blood and urine, we determine whether your metabolism is working fine or if there are any indications of problems with your kidneys, urinary tract, liver, or digestive organs. Laboratory diagnostics is an important part of early medical diagnosis. It is included in our Total Body Scans but can be booked individually, too, if certain risk factors or already existing conditions need to be checked out.
In addition to the parameters included in the Premium Laboratory package, you are free to get more parameters analysed. Please note: Any additional parameters are subject to additional costs.
Which parameters are examined in the premium laboratory package?
- Complete blood count (leukocytes etc.)
- Laboratory profile kidneys, liver, gall bladder, pancreas (including iron, bilirubin, total protein, uric acid, phosphate, creatinine, alkaline phosphatase, ferritin, GOT, GPT, GGT)
- Tumour markers (prostate cancer/PSA (m)/bowel cancer/stool examination)
- Diabetes (glucose, HbA1C)
- Cardiovascular (hsCRP, homocysteine, lipid, lipoprotein-A)
- Lipid status (cholesterol, HDL/LDL, triglycerides)
- Hormones (TSH, (T3/T4 if TSH is abnormal)
- Vitamin D
- Urine status
After arranging an appointment, you will receive a stool sample kit in an envelope by post. Please bring your stool sample with you to the clinic or the examination site on the day of your screening.
Blood collection as well as the urine sample take place on-site at the clinic. Please come to the blood collection on an empty stomach. You may drink one glass of water. We will inform you about any modifications to these arrangements if there are any.
When will you receive your results?
Some of the analyses take several days. You will receive your results within ten days. Based on your lab results, our physicians may make recommendations on how to improve your health by changes to your lifestyle, especially regarding better nutrition. They also point out if further examinations are necessary.
With any of these symptoms, a thorough lab test is advisable:
